Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Erdoğan, a faculty member in the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Akdeniz University, has been selected as a member of the HESI Community of Practice, established under the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) led by the United Nations.
HESI, jointly chaired by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), United Nations University, UNESCO, and the Sulitest Association, operates as a global initiative aimed at strengthening the contribution of higher education institutions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The HESI Community of Practice platform brings together higher education institutions, university networks, student organizations, and United Nations stakeholders from different regions of the world. The platform seeks to enhance knowledge exchange in the field of sustainable development, increase the visibility of innovative practices, and generate recommendations that can contribute to policy development processes. Members of this international community will contribute to HESI activities by providing insights, case analyses, and policy recommendations related to sustainability initiatives. They will also support the preparation of the annual HESI reports and contribute to discussions held at international events such as the HESI Global Forum.
The "Workshop on Externally Funded Student Projects" has been successfully held at our university. We extend our sincere congratulations to our esteemed faculty members serving as project advisors and to our students for their dedicated efforts and contributions.
Achievements within the Scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects (March 2025)
For the March 2025 term, all three project applications submitted by our department under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program have been granted funding. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our esteemed faculty members, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuray ATSAN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Eren ÖZDEMİR, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuray AKAR, who provided academic guidance for these projects, as well as to the students involved. We wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
Our Business Administration Department’s Non-Thesis Master's student Büşra ATKESEN and her team, with their project titled 'Fire Stopper,' have received a monetary award of 600,000 TL from Ford Otosan and Aveon Global Insurance, as well as an investment of 25,000 USD from ITU Arı Technopark at the final stage of the ITU Çekirdek Big Bang 2024. We congratulate our student and wish her continued success in her future endeavors.
As part of the 2024 Social Awareness and Contribution Project Award organized by Akdeniz University, the project titled 'Financial Literacy' conducted under the supervision of our faculty members Prof. Dr. Aslıhan Bozcuk and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Koray Çetin, has won the first-place award. We congratulate all the faculty members and students involved in the project and wish them continued success.
