Akdeniz University Entrepreneurship and Career Society (Akdeniz ECS)
The Akdeniz University Entrepreneurship and Career Society is a well-established student organization that has been operating since 2002 with the aim of supporting the academic, professional, and social development of university students. The Society continues its activities to contribute to students’ career planning processes, facilitate their access to internship and employment opportunities, and support their development as socially responsible individuals.
In this context, the Society organizes a wide range of annual events to foster the holistic development of students, including Career Days, Association Visits, Technical Trips, Film Screenings, Entrepreneurship Week events, Social Responsibility Projects, Internship Programs, as well as Tourism, National Entrepreneurship, Art, and Career Summits. Through these activities, the Society aims to enhance students’ teamwork, project management, and leadership skills.
While planning its activities, the Society takes into account student needs, sector expectations, and current developments, and provides a sustainable learning environment focused on practice-based experiences to improve students’ career competencies.
Mission
To organize training programs aimed at individuals’ personal development and career planning; to bring students together with the business world and provide career development opportunities; to enable them to gain creative and inspiring ideas through panels and talks; and to foster a collaborative and synergistic environment within the Society.
Vision
To lead the development of well-educated, socially responsible individuals who possess an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit and are committed to societal values.
The Society’s activities and visibility are also recognized at the national level. According to the Young Capital May 2015research published by Capital Magazine, it was ranked among Turkey’s leading 13 business and entrepreneurship clubs.
